The Dresden Files is set to be the next cancelled TV show through the revival escape hatch.
The fantasy drama is currently reviving at Fox21, per Deadline:
Fox21 Television Studios has optioned the rights to The Dresden Files, the long-running New York Times bestselling series of contemporary fantasy novels written by Jim Butcher for series development.
Ileen Maisel, who is under a first-look deal with Fox 21, is producing the project with Temple Hill Entertainment. John Fischer and Julie Waters are overseeing the project for Temple Hill.
Based on the fantasy novels of the same name by Jim Butcher, The Dresden Files originally survived only one season on Sci Fi Channel and Space in 2007.

Yes!!! Loved the show and did not understand why they cancelled it. Read the whole series of books and always looking forward to next one. Imagine my delight when the series started and then the disappointment when they cancelled!!!!

Was so mad when they cancelled it. Noone could figure out why. Hope this is a channel we get and hope the cast is the same.
OMG, yes I loved that show. Can’t figure out why they always seem to cancel the great shows and keep the garbage.
Please stick closer to the books and you need another Harry Dresden actor but OMG bring it back!

Fantastic! I loved thi show. I never understood why it was canceled. I am so excited.
That would be so awesome, but it’s been over 10 years I wonder if the original cast would still be interested? The show was a cross between the x-files and supernatural it was so good. But in the early to mid 2000’s sci-fi shows weren’t doing well. They didn’t make a come back til the new trek move in 2008
