The Deuce has escaped direct cancellation, but the series will conclude in 2019.
HBO has renewed The Deuce for a third and final season, TVShowsCancelled.com can confirm.
Showrunner David Simon greeted the chance to wrap the series:
We’re always conjuring the last scene before we write the first. So much the better when we work for people who allow us to consistently plan, arc and execute as intended. Thanks, HBO, for the third and final season renewal and the chance for The Deuce to tell its full story.

Are you pleased The Deuce has a final season? Did you want more seasons? Should the show have been cancelled after two seasons?
