Amazon has cancelled The Dangerous Book For Boys after one season, with no Season 2 for the comedy-drama.

The McKenna family must cope with the passing of its much-loved patriarch, Patrick. Hope appears in the form of a book called The Dangerous Book for Boys that Patrick created for his three sons. It becomes a how-to guide that inspires fantasies in his youngest son, Wyatt, enabling him to reconnect with his father and learn lessons that help him navigate real life.
Speaking to Deadline, Amazon Studios chief Jennifer Salke revealed that despite Dangerous Book Season 2 talks, the audience and “math doesn’t quite work” for renewal:
“I would say it’s looking very tough for the cost of the show. It’s really difficult, coming from the genre where it exists and the kind of audience it’s drawing. The math doesn’t quite work.”
