The Conners wont join Roseanne on the list of TV shows cancelled any time soon.
Following cast negotiations, ABC has renewed The Conners for Season 2, insiders inform TVShowsCancelled.com.
The Conners Season 2 is slated to premiere fall 2019.
Per insiders, ABC has not set The Conners Season 2 as the last in the series, leaving the door open for a potential third season in future years. Stay tuned…
They renewed it because they WON’t won’t ever admit they made a mistake when they fired Roseanne. No cast member is strong enough to carry the show and Jackie is the most annoying character (always was). John Goodman is lost without Roseanne and Sara Gilbert is just boring. sorry. I loved “Roseanne,” but “The Conners” just doesn’t make it in my opinion.
Or because you don’t a bigot to make a show successful. Don’t be salty because Roseanne got what she deserved.

To me, it doesn’t matter whether The Conners gets renewed. I can’t watch what is supposed to be Roseanne without Roseanne. ABC really blew it when they fired her. They could have turned it into a teachable moment by perhaps fining her & making her address a similar issue on the show. But they chose to kill her off instead. Big mistake!!!
What a joke! This show is nothing without its star, Roseanne. The rest of the cast is mediocre and Sara Gilbert should be fired for her comments about Roseanne. I hope your ratings fall so low that you don’t make it to mid-season in 2019.
They are only renewing The Conners because Idiot ABC will never Admit it fired the star and it is a flop. Great show with Roseanne and she did was tell a joke and the truth.
Love this show! So glad it is being renewed. People need to let go the Rosanne attachment and give it a try. On its own, without her, it is a good watch.
I am glad the Connors has been renewed. I do not watch many comedies but I do like The Connors. I also like Big Bang Theory so I like the fact that I can still watch Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki, I do not miss Rosanne.

I refused to watch The Conners because of the firing of Roseanne (wth? so….wrong) and THEN the cast’s comments regarding the firing. Roseanne gave most of them their start in this show and because of that they are now in positions to ridicule her? No thanks. I gave in and watched a few clips on YouTube and the episode where Jackie is drunk was just absolutely heartbreaking – the rest was boring and/or ridiculous. Dan (John Goodman) tries, but pretty much the whole cast is NOT funny without Roseanne to bounce jokes with. Darlene is an absolute PC bore and Becky is so damn stupid it’s not funny. Wasn’t she the brain when she was younger? Straight A student and helped out around the house responsibly – now she’s a dumb, underachieving drunk who has a chip on her shoulder. What a waste of air time.
Sorry But this original beloved show was politically canceled because it’s star said she supported President Trump. It has nothing to do with a comment. People make mistakes everyday. I have a very middle eastern sounding name. I hear all the Muslim ,Arab comments. Truthfully I am not Muslim,Arab etc. I am Christian ,Irish. Do I get upset? No because I take it that all people are not the same and say thinks they regret. It was alright when Roseanne was a stand up comic. What changed?J She should of just been fined or talked to. What about the late shows. The monalogs full of terrible things said about the President of our country.
