Teachers has been cancelled by TV Land.
The final 10 episodes of the comedy’s third season, returning January 15, 2019, will now be its last. Per THR, TV land will not move forward with Season 4 of Teachers amid uncertainty over the cable network’s future:
The Viacom-owned cable network announced Tuesday that the previously announced third season of comedy Teachers would be its last. The remaining 10 episodes of season three will return Jan. 15 at 10 p.m.
With TV Land hit Younger now officially moving to Viacom’s general entertainment destination Paramount Network in the spring, Teachers was the cabler’s last remaining scripted original. While sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that TV Land has not been open for scripted pitches in some time, a source close to the niche cabler insists it has a future in the pricey programming space. (TV Land executives declined comment for this story.)
