Supernatural has finally been cancelled – but not before its 15th — and now final — season comprising 20 episodes.
In short, there’ll be no Supernatural Season 16, the cancellation reaper has confirmed.

Showrunners Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb said of Supernatural’s pre-cancellation:
“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”

Best show on tv I don’t understand cw your making a big mistake. Your going to lose a huge viership if not for this show most would not ever New the cw exsisteted. Hope you change your management and get smart and take the boys to 20.
Given that the CW execs have repeatedly said they will keep making the show as long as the guys want to do it, it can only be surmised that this was primarily Jensen and Jared’s decision.

CW you are making a huge mistake. This is the best show on tv. Granted 15 seasons is a long time, but the writers have always managed to come up with fresh and exciting characters/ideas each season but able to stay true to the shows core values.
Netflix please pick this up and you will have a huge success . You can’t go wrong

Great show that I still enjoy watching even after many years and many episodes. Please say this is just a bad dream!
i don’t believe this the best show on tv its a sad day I believe they are making a terrible mistake all I can say is to everyone that was involved in this great series i have loved every single episode and I wish everyone good luck guys what ever you do next

NOOOOOOOOO!! I LOVE THIS SHOW! It is one of the few TV shows I still watch. Very sad.
Jared and Jensen, you guys could age gracefully, have kids, bring them into the life, and even grandkids. If the writing stays just half as respectful of us fans as it has always been, I’d keep watching.
Especially when your creative team come up with such surprise good episodes as the meta ones. And, that Carry On version by the school play. That it surprisingly turned out so good was almost on par with how the BTVS musical turned out to be brought about by plot points. (Not just ridiculous singing for no reason, rather great lyrics and very revealing.)
You know Rob, that episode is I think my all time fav,,, of course there were many others too 🙂
It’s time. Our boys need to have a life outside “hunting”, and there are only so many times they can die and return. That said, I’ve seen every episode so far, and I will continue to watch the reruns after the show ends … with the Winchesters and Castiel saving us all!!! Thank you to the cast and crew for a wonderful fantasy run. (I hope God comes back at some point, too!) (and Crowley!)

This makes it sound like the CW execs cancelled the show.They didn’t.As the CW has said all along the show would go on if the boys wanted to continue.Well…for whatever reason the boys have decided not to continue past next season.What really frustrates me about this kind of misunderstanding is there will be #savesupernatural campaigns because fans will be under the assumption that the cast would continue if the CW changes their mind or the show is picked up somewhere else when all that would do is put pressure on J2 to change their minds about quitting the show.No matter what their reasons are I’m sure it was a very difficult decision for them to make.It needs to be respected.

Absolutely devastated over this, this is by far the best show on the CW as well as other networks. This is my last favorite show that is on television, after this, there is nothing else to see. Soooooo sad!!!
The two boys are two grown men, probably wanting to make changes in their lives, to experience new things. Fifteen years is a long time to play one character and not get bored.
I wish them both good luck in all their future endeavors AND THANK YOU for 15 years of awesome shows I can’t wait to purchase.

I’m really going to miss this show, Wish it could go on a little while longer sometimes all great things must come to a end but lately all the best shows seem to be going away, I have only seen a few worthly new shows this season. From GOT to TBBT
The Middle and so on. So hard to find good tv now so glad for Grey’s Anatomy,NCIS,NCIS LA Shamless and all the long running good ones.
