There’s no hope for Salvation.
CBS has cancelled the summer sci-fi drama after two seasons, multiple sources have confirmed.
Having left the show in limbo for months, the network has opted not to move forward with a third season of Salvation.
Sources confirm to TVShowsCancelled that Salvation Season 3 wont be shopped elsewhere, despite active story plans for the show’s 2019 continuation.
To the reaper’s delight, Salvation now joins the ever-expanding list of TV shows cancelled.
RIP.

Well you did to me again!!! Cancelled yet another one of my favorite show!! I don’t know why I even bother to watch CBS or for that matter network TV at all..
Clare Cosper says
I with you on losing one of my favorites.
Nancy Fiorenza says
same first it was under the dome , then extant then zoo nothing for me to watch on cbs so done with them
Sundance kid says
Did you see the CRAP that didn’t get canceled. TV is garbage this day and age.
Daniel Prince says
Great series lost because network TV doesn’t care about anything more than advertising dollars. Quality programming is no longer a prerequisite. Hopefully network TV goes by way of the dinosaurs soon. Long live Netlix, Amazon Prime and other such carrierd.

Thank you, CBS for putting us out of our misery with that show. It should have been cancelled after Season 1.
Mike says
That effing sucks! All the build up to be let down. It’s no point in being upset because you know CBS will do it again with another show.
Carol says
I cannot believe that you have cancelled one of my favorite shows again. I also will stop watching CBS.
Curtis Mathews says
Why watch CBS summer filler when I have MSNBC!
Gayle K. says
That sucks that Salvation won’t be back for Season 3 and ALSO won’t be shopped around to other networks. I will contact the other networks and Netflix to see if they will bring Salvation back for Seasons 1,2, and a new season 3. Everyone who loves this show should also contact Netflix through “my account” and then “add shows” (you can list any show you love that was cancelled and it works, I have done it many times and they do listen to their subscribers and try their best).
Bert says
Great show & excellent cast. Another good one bites the dust & will likely be replaced with some social justice indoctirnation disaster. Each year there are fewer reasons to keep paying big $ for TV subscription.
Love My Drones says
CBS is such a useless company. Salvation was a pretty good show, but I think they could have come to an appropriate ending in the story, instead of just cancelling the entire show with NO Ending!
John says
Why networks cannot at least do a shortened/mini series to wrap up a storyline left hanging, I cannot figure out. They could do a two hour finale or a 3 or 4 episode conclusion. Why they leave fans hanging is beyond me. This would also make it easier to market the entire series. Who would want to invest their time in watching several seasons of a series that will not have a conclusion. At least House of Cards is doing so.
Sundance kid says
What REALLY REALLY pisses me off is when they KNOW well in advance they are going to cancel a show but still end it with no ending leaving you hanging. I am about ready to cut the cable and tell comcast and the networks to go F yourself.
Rita says
Why am I not surprised! I have grown accustomed to having my favorite shows canceled. That is the reason I elected not to get involved with any new programming on Network TV this season. Nothing to watch this summer. Thanks CBS for another disappointment!
SHARON BATTERHAM says
I really like this show mainly due to the characters and hate to see it cancelled. Boo again to CBS.
Edward Cherry says
It’s time the Viewers had some rights. If a series is to be cancelled, both the Broadcaster and Producers must be obligated to end the series with a minimum 4 episode conclusion. This would give all some satisfaction !!

As many people here have stated…CBS IS WORTHLESS !!! They do this to us all the time. Much more than any other network, so it seems. I too will not be watching CBS any longer. I have already boycotted USA because they have gotten rid of every show that was any good on their network. Can ANYONE believe… first, the ridiculous concept of the idiotic “Purge” movies ??? And then to make it into a series. I mean, the whole idea is just too stupid for words !!!
Michael Frost says
This is the last straw. Why do you keep canceling these great summer shows and keep the stupid singing and dancing shows on season after season. This was my favorite summer series. CBS I am thru with you and will now just stay with Netflix and Amazon
Riv says
I am also disappointed agreeing with everyone above, but gee CBS you could have at least made a short season to wrap up the show. UGH
Lynal Tolkacevic says
I TOTALLY AGREE with everyone else!! When you end a series, at least have the decentcy to make a few episodes to give it a proper ending!! These networks have no regards to the viewers or their feelings!! It makes people NOT want to watch TV!! I really liked this show, and all the good actors in it!! Very disappointed!!
Daniel says
OMG i love this show actuallu i just finished season 2 (nov 29) and was SO excited i rushed to find out when season 3 would be online and aaaahhhhgggrrrrrrr!!! Canceled!!! So mad!
Mark says
So angry SI-FY always gets cancelled leaving us all in limbo again never knowing what happened next, sick of it time and time again
Jim says
You would think if you were a person of intelligence, that if they knew a show was being cancelled you would wrap it up. These people have a decent show and just drop it and let the audience dangle. It seems a good show such as this that the network would think about the viewers who did watch it. I guess it’s just too much to expect
Bo Owens says
Such b.s!!!! I think CBS should be held accountable for their actions!!! For that matter all of the networks !!! If we’re the ones that keep them going ( the viewers) then we should boycott their network!!! Without viewers no $ then maybe they will stop leaving us hanging in mid air !!!!!!! Makes u wonder if the powers that truly control this world (the cabal) didn’t like themselves being put on display because this show definitely had an underlying meaning and truth to it . CBS u can kiss my ARSE!!!!
Lynn Scott says
I’ve just wasted two days watching a quality program with very little sex, violence and vile language and you cancel it on such a cliff hanger. I’m with the rest, stuff CBS, so over all the reality shows. True I guess the cabal didn’t like themselves much in this one.
Brenda T Ward says
I loved Salvation and all the cast. Was looking so forward to it coming back on.

This news saddens me. What CBS and others fail to see is the longevity of Sci-Fi series, many of which live on decades after they have been produced with loyal devoted follows, release DVD sales and dedicated web sites. These companies have no foresight and overlook long term future income.
For Salvation a 3rd season needs to be produced so closure to an epic series can occur. This is important to consider in a global market as many global viewers discover the series years after initial production. Viewers need to be seriously considered prior to Sci-Fi series being axed.
