What’s the matter NBC? Not enough 18-49 year olds watching Rise? If you keep shoes only for younger people, those of us with money will stop buying your advertisers products. This is a terrific show with Rosie Perez and the great cast! Maybe you should rethink this decision!
I have no idea if this is accurate, but my guess would be the decision to cancel this show had something to do with ratings. If that was the case I definitely think they pulled the plug way too fast!!
I really enjoyed ‘Rise’ and thought it was [one of] the best new shows on tv!! It drives me nuts how all these network execs never seem to be willing to stick with any show that has even a remotely fresh or original idea and/or a relatively unknown cast for more than 1 season. Instead of regurgitating the same old sitcom ideas, the same old medical and police dramas, or the latest ripoff of a reality show from England try having an original idea & allow a new show to stick around & build an audience over time!! No wonder NBC has been barely relevant & stuck in 4th place since Friends & Seinfeld went off the air!!!
In complete agreement with the stupidity of RISE being cancelled. God forbid any show with some enlightenment being renewed. Disgusted and very disappointed.
I am heart broken. This has been one of the truly refreshing moments of television. It seems that writers speaking to the truth are ignored by the execs. I hope that another network will give it a chance. How about it Netflix?
