TBS has cancelled People Of Earth after two seasons, reversing the initial Season 3 renewal announced last year, RenewCancelTV has confirmed.
Creator David Jenkins first announced the Season 3 reversal:

Jenkins confirmed that Season 3 is already written but will no longer go into production. With the sudden reversal, People Of Earth Season 2 will now be the unplanned final chapter in the comedy’s run.

The reversal is a reminder that no show is truly safe from the reaper. If a show can be caught, in most cases it will be, eventually.

People of Earth was not a bad show. It’s unsettling how many shows that are original to TBS are just plain garbage, stupid, not funny,and instantly worth turning the channel. Yet those shows TBS chooses to keep. No surprise that TBS has no idea which shows people like better or worse. TBS is just as bad as the big networks about that.
