Night Gallery will see the light once again.
Syfy has revived the cancelled Rod Serling anthology series.
Per Deadline:
In a competitive situation, Syfy has landed a re-imagination of Night Gallery, from Teen Wolf creator/executive producer Jeff Davis and Midnight, Texas executive producer David Janollari. Picked up for development, the project will be co-produced by Universal TV, where David Janollari Entertainment is based, and Universal Cable Prods.
Night Gallery, which ran on NBC from 1969-73 on NBC, was Sterling’s supernatural/horror follow-up to his sci-fi-themed anthology series The Twilight Zone. Serling was the host of Night Gallery, appearing in an art gallery setting to introduce each segment of an episode by unveiling a painting that illustrated the story.
Do you welcome Syfy’s reimagined Night Gallery? Should the show stay cancelled?
Jerry L. Feador says
Well? Was it cancelled, or has it been revived?
Gayle Kleinman says
So happy to see Night Gallery be revived on the SyFy Channel. Now, I hope it is free to stream. I didn’t know it was on NBC lately. I used to watch it back when it first came out and saw every show. LOVED IT! They should open the show like the old show in an art gallery with a picture coming to life. That was real COOL!
Susan says
What do you mean by revived and reimagined??
Martha says
The show was originally on NBC but was canceled in the early seventies. It has been around in syndicated form on various late night channels ever since. This will be a new “night Gallery” based on the original and will be carried by SyFy. I would look at Zachary Quinto for the host replacing Rod Serling.
