ITV has cancelled Maigret after two series. The UK broadcaster has opted not to renew the Rowan Atkinson detective drama for Series 3.
In a statement, a spokesperson said:
“We’ve no current plans for further Maigret films. Rowan Atkinson is also committed to other projects.”
RIP.
If Rowan Atkinson’s engaged in other projects it’s because you’ve been dragging your feet on this. Another good show allowed to drift and die. Atkinson was brilliant in this and Lucy Cohu the perfect foil as his wife. Bad, bad ITV!!!
