Homeland has officially joined the ever-growing list of TV shows cancelled.
Showtime chief David Nevins has confirmed the long-held belief that the upcoming 8th season of the CIA drama will also be its last:
“Alex Gansa will be bringing his show to its proper conclusion. I can’t say how much it has meant to the acceleration of our brand and for me personally: It was the first series I greenlit. Alex and Claire talked about this with us last season. Alex brought it in and Claire has been the mainstay. But the two of them finally made the decision.”
RIP.
A uniquely great show that does not deserve to end, logical conclusion or not!
