Harlots has been cancelled by original co-producer ITV Encore, with the UK broadcaster opting not to pick up the period drama’s second season.
However, in a twist of fate, Starzplay has swooped in to pick-up the rights to Harlots Season 2, which already launched last summer on Hulu in the US.
Starzplay, which is available via Amazon Prime Video Channels and Virgin Media, will release the entire 8-episode second season of Harlots on Thursday, February 14. In addition, Harlots Season 1 joins the subscription service on January 18.
Harlots has already been renewed for Season 3, to release on Hulu in 2019, with the Starzplay acquisition now increasing the odds of a fourth season to follow.
