Hap and Leonard Cancelled By Sundance TV – No Season 4

May 14, 2018 by TVShowsCancelled 5 Comments

Sundance TV has cancelled Hap and Leonard after three seasons, the James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams-starring series will not return for Season 4.

The network said of the cancellation:

“It has been an honor to share the adventures of Hap and Leonard with SundanceTV viewers. We thank the talented cast and crew who brought Joe Lansdale’s stories to life including John Wirth, Jim Mickle, Jeremy Platt and Linda Moran — and the extraordinarily talented Michael K Williams and James Purefoy. We aired three successful seasons of the show and are proud of the topics and relationships it explored.”

#HapAndLeonard fans,

It’s true. Our show has come to an end. Thank you thank you thank you for watching, re-watching, caring, engaging and calling for more. We loved every minute of making it, even when it drove us nuts. It means the world that you loved it too. /1

I remember listening to Joe’s interview on NPR a few years back and I commented to my husband WOW this guy can write. Then, the show came along—-and what a show it was. I am very sad.

This was my favourite Tv show. It had everything.

I’m hoping that another Tv channel signs it up.

I have watched this show since it came out and hands down this was their best season. I liked this years season so much better. Hadn’t really cared whether I saw it or not the first two seasons but this year, I looked forward to It — and then it is cancelled. I do hope that another channel picks it up.

This show was good old southern fun, fantastic colloquial saying, great writing!! Why is it the ones that have a great package and smart people can enjoy get cancelled just when we’re vested in the characters?

PLEASE…SOMEONE ELSE PICK THIS ONE UP!!
