FX has renewed American Horror Story for Season 10, ahead of the show’s 8th and 9th seasons, per Deadline:
[Ryan Murphy] asked for a 10th season of American Horror Story which we were happy to give to him,” FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said in an interview with Deadline.
As for whether AHS Season 10 will be the anthology horror’s last, Landgraf left the door open for Season 11, without being committal:
” I don’t know. A lot of that comes down to Ryan and whether he still feels inspired about it. I think the eight cycle, which is currently in production, is awesome and crazy, and I think the fans will rally like it. Part of what’s cool About American Horror Story is its anthology nature. So it comes down to whether Ryan and his collaborators like (showrunner) Tim Minear could come up with stories that they are excited about.”
American Horror Story Season 8, titled American Horror Story Apocalypse, premieres September 12, 2018, following by Season 9 in 2019, and Season 10 in 2020.
