Agents Of SHIELD will join its Marvel siblings in the cancellation graveyard.
Insiders have leaked to us that the superhero series will end after its upcoming seventh season.
Since ABC didn’t announce Season 7 has the last, the door had been open to an eighth season – that door has now slammed shut and leaves the series pre-cancelled.
Agents Of SHIELD wont meet the reaper just yet. Season 6 airs this May, followed by the seventh — and now final — season in 2020.

ABC would cancel the best Marvel show in my opinion. I have watched all 7 Seasons and was waiting and waiting for the 8th season. Here’s another show I hope is picked up by another station or platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.

At least this is not like Person of Interest, or Voyager (from wayback), and others. This will have a chance to have the story lines come to some kind of conclusion. And the actors we like to find other good series to land at. I get accused of being a silver lining type guy though. -:)
It kind of felt to me like the season 6 finale was a series finale or could be. This is one of the few shows I enjoy and the only one on ABC, besides Fresh Off The Boat. Rip Agents.
I think you have your facts wrong. It was just reported recently that ABC is eyeing an eighth season and beyond. This was reported just a couple of days ago.
