After some speculation, it’s a sad day for fans of The Tick. Deadline reports the Amazon TV show will remain cancelled after all.
Based on Ben Edlund’s long-running comic, the comedy tells the story of an eccentric superhero (Peter Serafinowicz) who fights crime with his sidekick, Arthur (Griffin Newman). The original series ran on FOX for one season in 2001. The new cast includes Jackie Earle Haley, Valorie Curry, and Brendan Hines.
In May, we reported Amazon had cancelled The Tick after two seasons but creator Ben Edlund said the series would try to find another network.
Now, it looks like The Tick will remain cancelled. On social media, Edlund revealed the series was unable to find a new home:
