Fox has reportedly cancelled Lethal Weapon after three seasons.
Per insiders, the police drama wont return for Season 4, despite FOX expanding the current third season by two episodes, taking it to 15.
According to insiders, those two additional episodes will help tie up loose ends and serve as the series finale.
The cancellation alert comes in the wake of star Damon Wayans announcing his departure from the series after Season 3.

Got Clayne fired as CLAYNE was the one who really cared & stressed due to incompetent staff not sorting issues. Yet Damon wants to leave. Omg why didn’t he leave end if season 2. Attention seeker.

I totally agree! I can’t stand all this “the guy who was in the CIA” or whatever it is. After last week’s totally confusing (and boring) episode, I cancelled. Glad the network did too. You can’t do the show without Riggs!

A massive cluster fail. Why, oh why, couldn’t management just pay attention to the facts instead of the rumors.
This is a direct result of Hollywood hating on the white man. From their perspective, they couldn’t possibly support the “privileged” white guy, even if he was the one telling the truth, showing up to work, and caring about the crew and the end product.

I don’t think it was about racism, it was about star power. No one really knew Clayne Crawford b4 he played Riggs. They were basing it on Damian’s star power and when Clayne stole the thunder, Damian got pissed and got Clayne fired. “Stiffler” has done a great job so far, but he got the short stick too. Trying to replace Riggs was never going to work. It’s not Lethal Weapon anymore. I feel bad for the rest of the cast and crew who are also loosing their jobs due to D.W.’s star powered tantrum. He needs to stay retired
Irony is that now Stiffler has taken the star role too lol. Damon is a not a main character kind of guy plain and simple.
Completely agree with both these comments.. “Stiffler” is doing a great job, even though I hated they got rid of Clayne Crawford, he was awesome… Damon is ok but not the caliber of either of the other actors! Too bad, he definitely screwed this show and all the other people working on it
I hope this is true. And it’s not due to Wayans quitting, it’s due to his abhorrent bahavior all along. Good for Fox if they finally took a stand.They weren’t getting much good publicity out of any of this fiasco. I understand needing the extra 2 eps to spackle the hole in the schedule ( The Gifted would go on 2 weeks longer without the added eps) so wrap it up and move this disaster to the trash bin. Wayans needs to retire permanently his time.

Sad, good show but I think it was obvious who the elephant in the room was. Claynes has show he is the profession and has a passion to make the show work. Damon’s is a name and a Edson alit year and on his role as a funny, comical father/husband was his only role. Past that he struggled. Rigg’s flawed side was my passion for the show. Fox really messed this one up.
Should hve never let Clayne go I can’t watch it now. All I see is Stiffler from American Pie! What a disgrace to have tried to keep the show going when you fired Clayne!!

I agree… I thought the show was doing well after Clayne was replaced (although I missed Riggs’ character) usually a show doesn’t survive when a main & beloved character is killed off! I wish the fans would have given Scott a chance & Wayans hadn’t put in his notice during the third season; Lethal Weapon will be missed in my opinion!!!

I wish they just re-set the show back to Riggs and Murtough, the way it was supposed to be. Season 4 would be the new Season 1. If Clayne wants to come back then let him and replace Wayans.

I was really disappointed when I found out Clayne was fired, he was the show. However, Sean has done a really good job (he needs more dramatic parts!) and was actually still enjoying the show. This sucks!
I love the show! I loved Clayne as Riggs too, but the guy taking his place has done a great job. I like him as a replacement (if there had to be one). Fox should keep it on air and just replace Murtaugh when he quits.
I totally agree with all of the above comments. I never liked Murtaugh due to his constant silliness. Riggs was the show and the only reason I kept watching.
I LOVED the show. Only ones being hurt here are the FANS! The so called stars should have sucked it up, like I have to do EVERYDAY at WORK. I do not get along with all my co-works, but have too. For I like to have a roof over my head and food in belly. All a bunch of diva’s, I may not even watch the balance of the 3rd season.

I wdnt know, haven’t watched a single episode this year, there was no reason to. When they let diva Wayans cry til CC was pushed out the door, lost all respect for the show, the cast mates who lied for the diva, the network & most of all the suits!! Karma is a bit€H!!
No loss the show is a zero without Claynes, he made the show, that was what it was all about. Wayans was just there. If Claynes stayed and Wayans left it would still be a good show, his character would have been easy to replace. That is not the case with Claynes character, there is no show without him and the replacement just isn’t the same.
I love this show. So entertaining. Makes me sad it is going away. If others don’t like it they are free to watch something else.

i liked riggs. didn’t think the new guy would fair well but think the show has been as good or better. wayans doesn’t seem to be as much of a whiney little bitch in this season with the new guy. hes actually tolerable to watch for a change. figures it turned out to be better than I expected and wayans bails. I think they should find another guy to take his place and continue the show. he doesn’t bring anything special to the show and never has. would be easy to replace him with a good actor or a bad one lol

I like season 3 better than season 1 and 2. Even though Clayne Crawford did an awesome job playing his character, Sean W. Scott’s character is even better IMHO. As far as Damon Waynes leaving, I hope not, he makes the show along with the other supporting cast. The dialog with the wife and boss alone makes the show great because alot of us can relate. Keep the current series going please!!!!

Lethal Weapon is my favorite show, even now!! Loved Riggs, but this year’s show is still so good, so entertaining. In my opinion, the writers have alot to do with that…not just the actors. Absolutely hate the idea of it being cancelled…I think they could still make the show work when Damon leaves, as it is built around such strong characters. Never thought it would be as good without Riggs, but it is.

Ok… let’s stipulate that Mel Gibson is and always be the quintessential Riggs. Say whatever you like about Mel’s politics and stupid mouth, those were some big shoes for Clayne Crawford to step into. I started watching fully prepared to hate the show, but Clayne’s deep and nuanced of the conflicted and even suicidal Riggs won me over. The show was dead when Fox fired Clayne. Wayans could have been replaced by any number of other actors with nary a murmur from fans. Fox has consistently shown this sort of short sightedness in the past (Nathan Fillion ring any bells?) If the show is well and truly cancelled then so be it and Wayans can go on to be a comedy footnote while Crawford’s star continues to rise.

I have the same question. All the news I’ve seen about Lethal Weapon being canceled is dated in October.
I never write a comment or review, and feel everyone see’s or enjoys different things, and so much negativity about the show and its characters, but I myself have never missed an episode. I loved Riggs, but whatever reasons he left, they at least brought it to an end with him, and of course there will never be another Riggs, there shouldn’t be, if the new guy came in as Riggs like the Soap Opera’s do, it would be terrible, but the new guy came in with his own unconventional and strange mix of traits that, if given a chance, might somehow end up being kind of interesting or charming. And the new partner for Bailey, would give the show, another dimension of quirkiness. Change is never easy in any part of our lives, but they should have given the new characters and the show itself, a try. I am disappointed it is cancelled, and sad another network didn’t pick it up.
I’m with you! I am so mad that it’s being cancelled! Cole makes the show and now with Erica and like you say, Bailey’s partner….It’s great! Fox does a lot of cancelling the good and keepiing the crap!

We’ve loved this show all the way through, and are sad to hear it’s not coming back. Wouldn’t it be great if they did something with Clayne and Scott? If Damon wants to quit, let him, and let Clayne come back. I bet it would be the best buddy cop show on television!
They should keep the show going and bring back riggs. Which they could by saying they faked his death. And put him in witness protection. And keep sean.
Seann William Scott is great in this show, Damon not even necessary, its just not Lethal Weapon, continue show without Damon and rename it.
I liked Riggs a lot and without him the show is completely different : Murtaugh^s caracter should disappear because he has no charisma. If Fox canceled the show I do not care.I hope to see Clayne Crawford in another serie soon.
Show was okay…For me I’d rather watch Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in they films. The real Lethal Weapon. I just didn’t like the multiple storylines in the episodes,for me was hard to follow. I thought Sean’s”Cole” character was much like Mel Gibson’s Riggs in the film. But Crawford has his own take on it which was fine also.
I will miss this show, I thought that Sean William Scott was much better for the show than who he replaced.

I am beyond ticked off that they cancelled this show!! Hated that they got rid of Riggs but also liked Cole. Loved the movies & was excited that they were doing it on TV. I, too, hate when they cancel good shows & keep CRAP. Wish they’d continue it somehow. 🙁 Not a bad idea, though, to put Clayne & Sean together & just make a new cop show. So tired of idiotic TV execs; ugh….

No good without Clayne Crawford…His Riggs was good. The head honchoes made a bad mistake, in taking notice of the diva and poss’ some other cast Sean did a good job of a replacement. Would be good to see Clayne and Sean a new show.
