Dietland has joined the ever-growing list of TV shows cancelled.
AMC has opted to cancel the drama series after one season. No Season 2 for Dietland as it slips into the cancellation graveyard.
In an obituary, AMC said of Dietland‘s demise:
“‘Dietland’ is bold, original and brave. We are beyond proud of our partnership with Marti Noxon, Joy Nash, Juliana Margulies, Skydance and everyone else involved in bringing Sarai Walker’s story to the screen. Similarly, Aisha Tyler and our friends at Embassy Row delivered a unique companion show that led with fresh voices and important topics. ’Dietland’ garnered critical acclaim and passionate fans but unfortunately we will not be able to continue with a second season.”
The series finale aired July 30, 2018.

I’m sorry to see it go. Not a type of show I’d normally watch, but I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this show because it was something new and different. I’m sick of reality shows, reboots, and shows that have been on for 10+ seasons! Hollywood has gotten lazy, and cheap!
