E4 roars back to the All Star Driving School

E4, in partnership with Suzuki’s media agency the7stars, today announced a return to the All Star Driving School, a 15 part series in which nine plucky celebrity learner drivers attempt to ditch the L plates once and for all.

The series from Rumpus Media will see famous faces who have yet to pass their driving test join a specially created intensive driving school run by three fully qualified instructors. The celebrities will take part in a series of core driving skills and challenges, all in the Suzuki Swift.

The celebrities will also be putting in additional practice sessions helped by their friends and family, who will also be there to rally their loved ones on the day of their test, ready to celebrate… or commiserate.

The famous faces getting behind the wheel of the Suzuki Swift will be TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent, Coronation Street actor Mikey North, pop songstress Vanessa White, Made in Chelsea’s Victoria Baker-Harber, Comedian Mark Watson, singer Tallia Storm, The Vamps’ Tristan Evans, Hollyoaks actress Ruby O’Donnell and Famalam actor Tom Moutchi.

Driving instructors Maxine, Ricky and Pells will also be returning for the second series to put our learners through their paces.

Jonny Rothery, Channel 4’s Commissioning Editor for Formats comments, “We’re delighted to be getting back behind the wheel for another All Star Driving School. Our formidable instructors are primed and ready to put another nine learners to the test.”

Iain Wimbush from Rumpus Media added, “Learning to drive is a universal rite of passage involving frustration, nerves and 25 point turns…no matter how famous you are and we’re really excited to return to the All Star Driving School to relish every minute.”

Jodie Brooke from Suzuki said, “In 2017, All Star Driving School drove conversation around Suzuki and the Suzuki Ignis with a younger and more adventurous audience. Moving into 2018 and a second series, we are keen to carry on that conversation with an engaged audience and showcase more of our line up with a new hero model in the Suzuki Swift.”

All Star Driving School (15 x 30’) was commissioned for E4 by Jonny Rothery, Commissioning Editor for Formats at Channel 4 and Head of Formats, Dom Bird. The Executive Producers for Rumpus Media are Iain Wimbush and Jim Hickey and the Series Producer is Sarah Church. (C4)
