Code Black TV Series Cancelled

CBS has cancelled Code Black after three seasons, with no Season 4 for the medical drama.

Showrunner Michael Seitzman confirmed the news:

What a shame. This is a great show. Never missed it. So tired of seeing good shows canceled in favor of more reality crap. What happened to good drama??

It sucks, but reality TV is so cheap for them to produce, I do’t think they care if anyone watches. Code black to me was Greys Anatomy on steroids. Both great shows, but this trend of cancelling good shows has to stop. Where are they getting the ratings from anyway?

Good shows seem to get cancelled regardless of fan following! This is an outrage!! Can CBS just not leave Code Black alone? I always make sure that we watch it. Great story lines, great action, great drama, great people! You actually feel as if you personally know them…..or wish you did. This is a crying shame! Why CBS Why?

This is a CRIME! Listen to your loyal fans of this awesome show!

Please reconsider. I hope someone else will pick it up, that knows good tv!

It will be replaced with garbage. Networks are so concerned with ratings, but I believe there isn’t a true picture of them, because people ever, TIVO them to watch later.

    Soooooo sad it’s being cancelled.

Say it isn’t so. Good point on TIVO. We always record and watch later. This was one of the best shows on T.V. Lately all the shows my family watches are getting cancelled while the “reality” shows stay on.
    Please keep this show on!!!!!

Sad to say, but so-called reality shows will never go away. The network only needs to offer a million dollar prize for people to make fools of them selves and for hardly any money they pay their “cast” for the whole season, while really good shows pay more in salaries for a single episode than the crap shows pay for two or three years.

This show was NEVER given a chance from episode 1 season 1! It’s one if the best show in television today and CBS NEVER got behind it. Instead they stick with shows like Big Brother which is truly mindless and disgusting or Survivor so ppl xa watch idiots eat rats. Same as 9JKL never gave it a chance either. I think I’m done with CBS.

All I can say is Another Mistake – maybe one of the cable networks will pick it up. So few non reality shows left to watch . Shame on you CBS, maybe I’ll stop watching CBS altogether.

I can’t believe so many good shows are being cancelled only to make room for shows NOT established. Have you ever heard the saying “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”. I hope the different networks start listening to the people.

OMG What’s the matter with CBS? Who makes these stupid decisions to get rid of good drama shows? I never missed watching Code Black and liked all the characters. I have never, repeat never watched survivor or big brother they are ridiculous. I hope that another network or Netflix picks this up! So many of the shows I’m watching are getting cancelled just don’t understand the reasoning behind these bad decisions

like I already commented to NBC who cant decide whether or not to cancel Timeless … Code Black is another awesome TV show and needs to be backed by the network … forgetting that boomers grew up on TV and not social media is a big mistake … we like to fight for our rights and grew up with this as well … wake up CBS … threats to boycott should NOT be ignored … you do so at your own peril

One of the best shows on TV and they cancel it? While the TV is filled with nonsense and cr*p of all kinds what will we have to watch as they keep putting it on. I hate reality TV. A really stellar cast and great acting on Code Blue. What on earth is wrong with the people who make these awful decisions. I’m sad it is going away. Truly is a quality show.

Big mistake. When of the better dramas on the tube at present. CBS cancells all show which hold my interest and keep putting on replacements which are reworked scripts from time gone by. I may have to turn to other viewing options as CBS certainly a disappointment. Hoping another network or netflix picks it up like NBC did to Brooklyn 99 another show which was entertaining and cancelled. I cant imagine you have anything better to replace this show with.

Seems like CBS only cancels the good shows and renews the crappy shows like the Bachelor and Bachelorette and the rest of the reality shows. So stupid. Hope everyone boycotts CBS and it hurts them!! Code Black is such a good show with a great cast! Maybe it’s time I switch to a different station and find a different station to stick to since a lot of other stations aren’t cancelling their shows like CBS is.

The only reason all of the networks continue to renew these idiotic reality shows is because people seem to like the sick drama they offer. I don’t watch any of them so I guess I’ll continue to watch the old re-runs of Code Black and other great shows online and spend less time watching network TV

CAN’T UNDERSTAND THE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CBS IS CURRENTLY DOING.
CODE BLACK , AS WE SPEAK, CAN OFFER FAR BETTER STORY THAN THE OTHER MEDICAL DRAMA SERIES, CODE BLACK IS IN THE TREND /TRACK OF SURPASS THOSE LONG TIME RUNNING MEDICAL DRAMA IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE.

I SHOULD REVIEW CBS TV-SERIES FROM MY PERSONAL ROSTER AS I DONT WANT TO GET ANOTHER HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FROM CBS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

Here we go again, CBS taking a fast paced action show that also has the right mix of personal drama off the air. Why do we have to fight to keep this show on the air every year??? All of the cast are very talented and loved people. I know we will see them again soon. This is a loss for us but mostly for CBS and their sponsors for this show. Just another reason to search another network for that time slot and most likely the next time slot after that one. AMF CBS

Once again one of my favorites canceled. Code Black is excellent programming. My plans for the next season is to look at shows offered by the cable networks. I am sick of getting involved with shows on the regular networks and have them disappear so soon. Looks like I will be reading more books next season.

Nice job CBS. Apparently your executives are as mindless as the stupid reality shows they create and support. Obviously, actual entertainment value has no meaning anymore. I guess that’s one more night I can forget CBS and their advertisers. You have managed to orchestrate your future as an irrelevant network, but hey, you will just keep churning out garbage and reality trash.

I think that CBS should get their head out of their a$$ and pick this show back up, they keep dropping good shows Wisdom of the crowd, APB was dropped but they keep adding these stupid reality bull crap shows. I hope ABC, Fox, NBC pick up this show they at least keep good shows. Lets all let CBS know how we feel we need to speak out its us the viewers who make the ratings possible.

I hope another network picks up CB. What a waste of talent ! Great chemistry, great storylines. Change the airtime from 10pm to 8 or 9pm. I’m so pissed.

This is a great show. I hope a network with some since and appreciation for quality TV picks it up. Grays Anatomy has gone mostly to personal issues with the characters and away from medical issues. It’s like medical is a sideline.
We love the intensity Code Black has. Me being a retired Police Sgt. have been called to the Hospital ED and can tell you, Code Black is realistic.
