Dancing with the Stars: ABC Announces Celebrity List for Season 28

You may or may not be ready but is it time to dance? ABC just announced the celebrity lineup for the 28th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Only “Dancing With the Stars” could round up a cast that is simultaneously as star-studded and as random as its 2019 lineup, which includes Karamo Brown, Hannah Brown and Sean Spicer as well as supermodel Christie Brinkley, Fifth Harmony alum Ally Brooke and two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom.

The competition program seems to have pulled out all the stops for its Season 28 cast, which was announced Wednesday. Since ABC decided to buck its typical twice-yearly format and didn’t greenlight a spring edition, this will be the lone “DWTS” to air this year. Twelve celebrities make up this year’s star squad – more quirky and varied than a “Saturday Night Live” parody of “Celebrity Family Feud,” here’s the who’s who of Season 28, in order of their “Wait … what?” factor.

  • Lauren Alaina – Country singer and Season 10 runner-up on “American Idol”
  • Christie Brinkley – Former supermodel and actress
  • Ally Brooke – Pop singer and member of the girl group Fifth Harmony
  • Hannah Brown – The most recent star of “The Bachelorette”
  • Karamo Brown – Culture expert on the Netflix reality series “Queer Eye”
  • Kate Flannery – Actress and former star on “The Office”
  • Ray Lewis – NFL legend and sportscaster
  • Kel Mitchell – Actor and former Nickelodeon star who was one half of “Kenan and Kel”
  • Lamar Odom – Former NBA player, reality star and Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband
  • James Van Der Beek – Actor and former star of “Dawson’s Creek”
  • Mary Wilson – Singer and former member of The Supremes

Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars debuts on ABC on September 16th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
