John Stamos doesn’t want the Full House universe to end. Recently, the Fuller House star revealed he’s interested in a prequel to the classic ABC TV show, Deadline reports.
Stamos plays Uncle Jesse on both the original series and the Netflix spinoff, Fuller House. The latter was recently renewed for its fifth and final season. The cast includes Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Soni Nicole Bringas, and Scott Weinger.
During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stamos said there’s still life in the Full House franchise:
I’m interested in what happened before Full House. … There’s a lot of energy still with that show. And there’s too much happiness that show has brought to a lot of people, so it’s not going to go down easy, I’m not going to let it.”
And what about Lori Loughlin? Earlier this year, the Full House and Fuller House star was indicted as part of a nation-wide college admissions scheme. Stamos told ET he’s uncertain about how Loughlin fits into the future of Full House:
I haven’t been on the show yet and it hasn’t come up, so I’m going to talk to some people about it this week and see what’s going on. I’m just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it. It’s a difficult situation for everyone involved. I don’t mean just on our side.”
