The 100: Season Seven Renewal on CW

The tale of the survivors is far from over. The CW has renewed The 100 TV show for a seventh season for the 2019-20 broadcast network season. The renewal comes ahead of the show’s sixth season premiere which is set for next Tuesday, April 30th.

A dystopian sci-fi drama, The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, and Shannon Kook. The story centers on a post-apocalyptic group of survivors, who believe their people are all that is left of mankind. When they return to Earth, they realize they aren’t the only ones.

The fifth season of The 100, which concluded August 7th of 2018, averaged a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 962,000 viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 11% in the demo and up by 1% in viewership.

Today, the network also renewed In the Dark (season two), All American (season two), and Roswell, New Mexico (season two) for the 2019-20 season. They join previously renewed series Arrow (eighth and final season), Charmed (season two), Black Lightning (season three), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season five), Dynasty (season three), The Flash (season six), Legacies (season two), Riverdale (season four), Supergirl (season five), and Supernatural (15th and final season).

“As we begin to plan for the 2019-2020 season, we’re thrilled to have this roster of 14 exceptionally creative and distinctive series, including all five first year shows, as the foundation on which to continue to build the multiplatform future of The CW,” said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. “One of our key long-term goals has been to continually add more original programming all year round, especially in midseason and summer, and with these returning shows and the new series we’ll order as we get closer to the May upfront, next season on The CW is shaping up to be our most robust year round schedule yet.”
