When Calls The Heart isn’t getting cancelled, but Lori Loughlin is.
Hallmark Channel has axed the actress in wake of the college cheating scandal.
However, the cabler confirms that the show itself will go on, albeit after a hiatus:
“As for the show itself, we know millions of fans are on pins and needles wondering what will happen now. Let us reassure you, When Calls the Heart has always been bigger than the sum of its parts, and it HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED. With the full support of the network, we have gone on a creative hiatus to do some retooling on the remaining Season 6 episodes. That process has already begun. Hope Valley will return to your TV screens as soon as we can bring the episodes to you.”
I don’t think the show will survive after losing two of its main stars (Jack and Abigail). Lori Loughlin should have been suspended, not fired.
Most shows survive when main characters are killed off – for instance the Walking Dead. She will be replaced by someone who has better moral values and is not paying bribes to advance their kids….She shouldn’t be rewarded for what she did in a conspiracy that spreads countrywide.
I hope they bring Jack back on. After she starts to fall for the new Mountie .

No, she should go. The program will survive. It survived Jack–much more important character. There are many excellent actors on the show.

It is truly sad that her trying to be a good mom get her fired, the parents are not the problem here it is the guy that provided the service.
I agree with you. I am a good mom and I would NEVER bribe to get her into a college she never wanted to go to. But she did wrong and I think that she is being punished. But,ban her for life is a little too much. I will miss her and hope Hallmark can do te right thing,and after time forgive her. I know Jesus will.
Dayle said it well. Also, we seem to be quicker to forgive sports stars than a parent who makes a mistake. Take time, repair and forgive.
Applicants that lost the opportunity to gain admittance because all slots were filled via illegal means cannot be made whole. Since the prior beneficiaries from this illegal activity have gained degrees, etc. from this are those degrees going to be be withdrawn? Those that were/are guilty of benefiting from this crime should not retain the benefit, and should loose their degrees, and should have to start over. ALL of them, not just those caught at this time. According to the charges, this has been going on for decades, all the parents should be prosecuted, not just the well known stars, all of the CEO’s etc. should loose as well and face prosecution.
