The Middle spinoff wont take flight after all.
ABC has cancelled its planned Sue Heck-centered spinoff from cancelled comedy The Middle, although the project may apparently be may be shopped by studio Warner Bros. TV, Deadline reports:
Titled Sue Sue In the City, the single-camera comedy stars The Middle standout Eden Sher as Sue Heck and comes from The Middle creators/executive producers Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline. It was ordered by ABC to pilot in August, with Chris Diamantopoulos cast alongside Sher and fellow Middle alum Brock Ciarlelli as well as Kimberley Crossman, Finesse Mitchell and Aaron Branch.

IMDB lists it as a movie. Whatever it takes to have more Sue Heck in my life, I’ll take it!
Even if it is for only a season, it would have been interesting to see her in this role as quirky as she is LOL
WTF…I was looking forward to watching Sue Heck. ABC doesn’t know what a good show is…first they cancel “Last Man Standing”, now the “Sue Heck…Spin-Off”. Hoping “Sue” is picked up by another studio!!
