EXCLUSIVE:The Last Kingdom wont join the list of TV shows cancelled for a while yet.
Netflix has renewed The Last Kingdom for Season 4, slated to release in the 2019-20 season, sources inform TVShowsCancelled.com.
The Season 4 renewal comes ahead of the historical drama’s third season release on November 19.
About The Last Kingdom:
As Alfred the Great defends his kingdom from Norse invaders, Uhtred — born a Saxon but raised by Vikings — seeks to claim his ancestral birthright.
Sources also note that The Last Kingdom Season 4 hasn’t been set as the last in the series, leaving the door open for a potential fifth season. Stay tuned…

This is the best BBC Series that was rescued by NETFLIX and I am extremely glad that it continues.
The subject is historical and gives you a good insight as how England was formed.
The characters are well though out and each has its story and you get to emphatize with them.
Best Series I have watched in a while and I highly recommended.
You watch Season 1 episode 1 and you will be hooked to Binch Watch all three seasons I guarantee it.

I have followed this serie, and it is just great and entertaining. Of course it is quite a bit out of “course” when it comes to the description of the Scandinavians, but that is just what to expect. Being a swede myself I really do not care that much about the historical faults, I just enjoy the entertainment shown… Thanks a lot. I really hope for a 4th AND a fith season if possible……..

Netflix is coming out with more great series to watch. The Last Kingdom is well made with a great historical story. TV is so full of mindless reality shows that these series are very engaging to me now. The only problem I have with any of them is that you have to wait so long for the next set of episodes. But wait.. I will.

As a Brit and the owner of the book The Saxon Chronicles I can tell you that all the main characters are historically real.
I am so glad this show continues. It’s my absolute favourite show. I’ll have to watch all the seasons again to fill my time until the 4th comes out. Amazing character played by amazing actors and actresses and a storyline that keeps you wanting more. I can’t say there’s many shows out there like this and I look forward to many more seasons to come.
The show is outstanding (acting/storyline), and our whole family looks forward to season 4. Awesome! 🙂

One of the best shows in a long time. I was thinking about cancelling my Netflix account because I found my self, as it felt, spending more time to look for something to watch than actually watch movies or series. Then this suddenly appeared on Swedish Netflix. I cant understand why Netflix, who “owns” season three wont show it here in Sweden. I had to use torrents to watch it.
Since they announced season 4 I guess I´ll stick to Netflix until it is released at least.
