NBC’s Grimm spinoff has the backing of the show’s original lead, David Giuntoli.
The actor, who played Nick Burkhardt for six seasons before Grimm was cancelled, told TVGuide that he’s “thrilled” about the planned spinoff series:
“I could not be more thrilled that NBC is developing a Grimm spin-off. I thought it was such a wonderful show and we built just a vibrant, colorful world. To not be able to play in that world any longer seems like such a waste. So I could not be happier for everyone involved in the Grimm spin-off.”
As for the possibility of appearing on the Grimm spinoff, Giuntoli is already eyeing a guest star role:
“I just want them to roll old Nick Burkhardt, his old bag of bones, off the couch every now and again for a ‘special guest star. And hopefully the new female lead can do all the fight scenes.”
Are you excited for the Grimm spinoff? Is it too soon?
Stay tuned for all updates on the resurrection of Grimm…

I’d love to see the old show back, but if I can’t have that then a spinoff will be wonderful – as long as it’s as good as the original. It would be fabulous to see David Guintoli back every now and again as Nick too.

I am so excited for a Grimm spinoff! I absolutely love the show and have all 6 seasons on dvd! I was sad when they took it off the air because it was one of the best shows on tv at that time! Hopefully all prior cast members will be able to come back for this!

I loved the show and hated it when it was cancelled. It would be nice to have a spinoff with Nick and Monroe returning in a lot of the episodes. I have all seasons/episodes on DVD. That’s how well I loved the show.

I would love to see Monroe back also, he was my fav

Obviously they realized their stupidity if they are developing a spin off. If these idiots would use their brain before canceling shows it sure would be nice.
Barry Etheridge says
Obviously? The original show was cancelled at just the right time for both the station and the show’s creators.
The spin-off does not indicate that anyone is missing the old show at all.
Lynn Colburn says
Grimm was our favorite show then. My husband and I looked forward to each show and we were never disappointed. Hope this spinoff happens and is as good as the original….which was the best. We have not watched anything on NBC since.
Donna DAndrea says
Couldn’t be more thrilled. Love this series and miss it much. I hope this one features more of Trouble (I know I’m not spelling her name right). She was such a strong character. I think all the female characters were under used. Hope they correct this this time around.
Sheri says
I loved this show and was so sad it was cancelled but a spin-off would be great with Nick back now and again!

I’m so happy to hear they’re bringing the show back. I miss that show. Hope Monroe comes back also along with Trubel. I can hardly wait. Grimm along with Sleepy Hollow were such good shows and both were canceled. I guess they don’t care about the fans and would rather have boring canned laughter shows!
Linda says
YEA! Can’t wait!

I love the Grimm show. I’ve seen it complete five times. I would love to see Monroe again. He was my favorite character. I also liked Wu. But of course I’m happy about every character from the old series, including Nick.
